The Memoir
In the summer of 1976, after his mother is sent to prison, seventeen-year-old Jim Woodman and his younger brother are sent, along with three other teenagers, into the Honduran jungle in search of a lost city. What begins as an adventure quickly becomes a test of survival. Their guide, a volatile Vietnam War veteran, proves more dangerous than the rainforest itself, and the instincts forged in childhood chaos become the only thing keeping them alive.
